5 Things I Love About The Current Real Estate Market

Updated: Jan 11, 2022

1. Hey there good lookin’! Homes currently are in pristine shape. With the onset of COVID and many people being stuck at home, home renovations have been booming! (Who hasn’t been to HomeDepot lately?) Not only have these renovations help to up the value of your home (good job DIY’ers), but this also means that many of the homes on the market right now have recently been updated, upgraded and are looking gooooood! Say goodbye to those dated kitchens, bathrooms and light fixtures.

2. How low can you go? Interest rates are still super low. With interest rates being low it's a great time to sell and to buy. (Or refinance) Many people have built equity in their homes and now is a great time to take advantage of that equity and move into that home you always wanted. For some of us, well for most of us, these are the lowest interest rates of our lifetimes. For first time homebuyers, the time is now to buy the house. Start accruing your own equity instead of paying into someone else’s pocket.

3. Winning! Competition. We've all heard that right now the housing market is very competitive. No doubt, it is! What does this mean? To put it simply, there are more buyers in the market then homes available. This type of market can fluctuate depending on the season. Meaning in the springtime, traditionally, there should be more inventory available as people are more likely to move during this time. So why would I “love” this time? I see it as the time is now to make a move. (see interest rate info above) Besides, who doesn't like a good competition. I know I do. I also know I like to win.

4. Ahhh…That New Home Smell! New home construction. Right now, the new home construction industry in Denver is booming! If you haven't considered a new home in your home search, you should. Many new home builders are offering incentives such as cash towards closing, finished basement, cash towards design upgrades and more. While it might take about nine months to build a new home, this is a great time to put your house on the market and start saving. But don't sign on the dotted line yet, you’ll need ME to help get you the most from your new home’s value.

5. Nothing but Sunshine!

OK let's talk about this weather. While I am a big fan of snow, being a HUGE skier and Colorado native. You can't help but love these 60-degree weather days we've been having. What better a time to go look at houses then on a beautiful sunny Denver weather day. Remember if you are in the market to buy or sell this February I'm here to help! There are many things that I love about real estate and I'd love to discuss them with you.
